IDENTITIES: Two of Bertha Hughan's nieces, Ada and Amy Edmiston.Their mother was Marion Agnes Hughan, Bertha's sister, who married Henry Aulert Edmiston in Melbourne in 1852. Ada was five and a half years Amy’s senior.Ada Josephine Edmiston was born in Geelong on May 12, 1854, and her sister Amy Beauclerk Edmiston was born in new Zealand in 1865. This photo was taken in Dunedin, New Zealand.The Edmiston family spent several years in New Zealand, then returned to Victoria.
