IDENTITY: Mrs. Sarah Bloodworth, wife of David Bloodworth, of St. Paul's Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire.David was an assistant school master to John Parr. Sarah was, in fact, the daughter of John and Mary Parr.Born in Stamford in c. 1827, Sarah married William Wade, a cattle dealer, and moved away from Stamford to live in Peterborough, Northamptonshire. The 1861 census states that Sarah is a "dealer in needles", and that she and William had a two and a half year old son, Frederick W. Wade.William died somewhere between 1861 and 1864, as Sarah Wade, widow, married David Bloodworth at St. Sepulchre, London, on December 28, 1864. The parish register entry for their marriage stated that David Bloodworth, schoolmaster, was the son of William Bloodworth, toll contractor. Sarah Wade, widow, was the daughter of John Parr, schoolmaster. Witnesses to their marriage were Hannah Parr, Sarah's youngest sister, and Robert Dalton. David Bloodworth took over from his father-in-law as headmaster of the school in St. Pauls Street, Stamford.I have found no trace of children born to Sarah Parr Wade and David Bloodworth.
