


IDENTITY: Thomas Bellamy, the husband of Alice in the previous blog entry. Thomas was baptised on January 1, 1809, at All Saints, Stamford, the son of Thomas and Ann Bellamy. He lived in the same house in St. Paul's Street, Stamford, Lincolnshire, for over 40 years, in the service of a wealthy unmarried lady named Harriet Hurst.He married fellow servant Alice Parsons in 1852, and both continued in the service of Miss Hurst until her death in 1880. Thomas outlived his wife Alice by several years, passing away in 1893 in his Stamford home.
